Community Stories

every move makes a difference.

We’re only as healthy as our community. At Allegacy, we believe we have a responsibility to serve the common good.

That’s why our employees, members and family participate in events like Komen Race for the Cure, March of Dimes and the Hospice Hope Run. It’s why we offer scholarships to students who want to make a difference. It’s why we give our time as well as our corporate sponsorship to causes that seek to make our community stronger.

We invite you to join us. Browse the stories below to find out what our belief in community means to us – then partner with us in the effort. We’ll see you out there.

Don't Wait Golf Tournament

Early detection is the best way to battle breast and ovarian cancers. The Don’t Wait Benefit Golf Tournament exists to spread that message, while raising funds for Cancer Services, Inc.

Hospice and Palliative Care

Allegacy began supporting Hospice, which provides compassionate services to families in the Piedmont Triad, after we lost someone very special to breast cancer.

Komen Race for the Cure

Allegacy is a proud co-sponsor of Komen Race for the Cure, participating through corporate sponsorship and joining the race with our employees, friends and family members.

The ability to get an education can mean the world. We offer scholarship programs to make a difference in the lives of students like Rafael Grillo, whose story we tell here.

Angel Tree

This project provides holiday gifts to children who might otherwise not have any. We participate as a donation spot, collecting wishlist gifts for children in struggling families.

Tech Night

Find out how we collaborate with the tech firm Inmar and the community tech nonprofit WinstonNet to help community members get their devices running faster, virus-free.
