What to Expect

The new system will enable us to better serve you through more efficient transaction processing and account opening.

The technology upgrade takes place over the Memorial Day weekend including Saturday, May 23, Sunday, May 24, and Monday, May 25. All updates will be complete by Tuesday, May 26.

Friday, May 22 – Monday, May 25

  • Financial Centers + Contact Center
    Will be closed during Memorial Day Weekend, including Saturday, May 23 and the Federal holiday on Monday, May 25. Financial Centers will re-open at 9 am on Tuesday, May 26, while our contact center reopens at 7:30 a.m. All Drive Thrus will open by 8:30 a.m. (Westbrook at 8 a.m.)
  • WebBanking + WebPay
    WebBanking and WebPay will not be available beginning at 6 pm on Friday, May 22. These services will be available again on Tuesday, May 26 at 7:30 a.m.
  • ATMs, Check Cards, Credit Cards + Checks
    ATMs, cards and checks will all function as usual and your Personal Identification Number (PIN) will not change for your cards.
  • Online Account Opening and Loan Application
  • PhoneBanking
  • Shared Credit Union Branching

  • Contact Center hours will be 7:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday-Friday
  • We will have extended hours from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on the following Saturdays: May 30 + June 6

Financial Centers

All Financial Centers in North Carolina, with the exception of Spartan Village, will be open the following days and times starting May 26. Lobbies are open by appointment only:

  • Monday – Thursday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Friday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Drive Thrus: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Westbrook at 8 a.m.)
  • Westbrook Financial Center and Drive-Thru Saturday Hours: 9 a.m. – Noon

Yes, Allegacy ATMs + ITMs will be available. ITMs will not have teller assistance.

It takes a few days to make this upgrade because we want to ensure the various systems are running properly before they are made available to our members.

Although we are making the enhancements as quickly as possible, and this timeframe is considered typical, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.

No, WebBanking and WebPay will be unavailable from Friday, May 22 at 6 p.m. to Tuesday, May 26 by 7:30 a.m.

Yes, any transfers/payments you have established in WebBanking will remain in place as scheduled, EXCEPT if you have payments scheduled during the upgrade weekend, Saturday, May 23 – Monday, May 25. Those will need to be rescheduled prior to, or after the upgrade time period.

No, the Allegacy Mobile Banking App will be unavailable during the Memorial Day Weekend from Saturday, May 23 – Monday, May 25.

No, automated phone banking will be unavailable from May 23 through May 25.

If, on or after May 26, you cannot access your account within the automated telephone banking system, please speak with a member service representative in our Contact Center by calling us at 336.830.8600.

Due to the upcoming technology upgrade all online applications must be completed by Thursday, May 21, 2020, in order for our team to start the application process. Any application showing as incomplete after that day will be canceled and a new application must be submitted on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

How to Prepare

Yes. The enhanced system has been thoroughly tested for accuracy. Our staff is well trained and prepared to answer your questions.

We have created a special page on our website at www.allegacy.org/upgrade which includes important information about the technology upgrade. You may receive additional information in your account statements, email and by mail. If you have additional questions you cannot find on the website, please call 336.830.8600.

Debit Card
Make withdrawals at Allegacy and non-Allegacy ATM machines or get cash back at area businesses that provide that option

Make withdrawals at Allegacy and non-Allegacy ATM machines. You will not be able to obtain balance information at ATM machines during Memorial Day weekend.

Checks
Members may use your checks as normal for payment options

Completing these simple steps prior to May 22 will help reduce any potential interruptions in your day-to-day experience with Allegacy. While there will be no changes to the way you interact with WebPay or WebBanking, it’s always good to be prepared.

  1. Although you will be able to make deposits at Allegacy Credit Union ATMs, ITMs and Night Deposit Boxes during Memorial Day weekend, these funds will not be available until Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
  1. Review your account history, (available through WebBanking) and reschedule any WebPay payments that would have fallen between May 22 – May 25.
  1. Be sure your telephone number(s) and email address information with us is up to date so that we can reach you if needed. Online banking users may update email contact information when logged in to WebBanking. To update your telephone number(s) please call 336.830.8600.

In an effort to be more efficient in how we serve our members, we recently conducted a member assessment in which we identified some members with multiple member numbers. We have mailed those members a letter via USPS mail advising that their multiple numbers have been merged into one. This will allow you to view all of your information under one login when you interact with WebBanking, WebPay and Mobile Banking.

No, your PIN will remain the same and you may continue to use your card with no interruption. You will not be able to obtain your account balance at ATM or ITM machines during Memorial Day Weekend.

Yes, those will remain the same.

Yes! Your online banking history will not change.

No, your account numbers will stay the same.

Yes, any direct deposits you have established will remain in place.

Yes, any automatic withdrawals you have established will continue to be debited as usual.

No, your user ID will remain the same.

Yes, you will receive enhanced statements that are easy-to-read and include your activity for each month. Prior to the upgrade, you will receive your regular statement including activity through May 22, 2020.

After the upgrade, you will receive a new statement that will show the last 6 days of May. Going forward, you will receive a statement showing activity for each calendar month.

If you haven’t already done so, you may want to sign up for eStatements.  They are environmentally friendly, faster, and can help to reduce fraud. Plus, they reduce clutter in your home or office! To enroll, simply log into your WebBanking account and click Additional Services in the top menu bar.

Yes, your Personal Identification Number (PIN) will be different. The first time you call after our upgrade, you will be provided with step-by-step instructions on the phone. When you dial in, please listen carefully for the instructions.

It’s free, secure, easy to use and available through the App Store™ or Google Play™. To ensure the security of your account information, the Allegacy app should only be downloaded from one of these legitimate and authorized app store locations.

With our new Card Integration, a members’ credit card history will now display within the online banking screen. If members want to pay their credit card from an external account or view a credit card e-statement, they will need to follow the steps below:

  1. Click on Additional Services
  2. In the dropdown menu, click on Credit Card Account information and follow the steps.

Yes. Deposits can still be made at Allegacy ATMs and Allegacy Night Deposit Boxes. Please know that the money deposited over Memorial Day Weekend will become available Tuesday, May 26.

While we are undergoing the upgrade, transfer of credits initiated by apps such as Apple Cash, FaceBook Pay, Paypal, and Venmo to an Allegacy debit card are not supported for instant deposits (same day). Most of these apps are still allowing for the transaction to be scheduled for a later deposit date. Money transfer debits via the same payment methods are not impacted.

During our upgrade weekend, we have temporarily reduced withdrawal limits as we make the changes to our system. Normal withdrawal limits will be restored on Tuesday, May 26th.
