Ashley Kohlrus is Executive Vice President/Chief Operations and Digital Officer at Allegacy Federal Credit Union. She began her career with Allegacy in 2004 and currently has accountability for Retail Operations which includes 16 financial centers, nine student-run credit union locations, Call Center Operations, Digital Banking, Business Development, Financial Education, Private Banking, Deposit Operations, Product Management, Strategic Planning, Member and Community Development, Marketing and Corporate Communications. In previous leadership roles, Ashley led Human Resources, Learning + Development, Organizational Development, and Legal and Compliance.
Ashley serves on several boards and councils including Trellis Supportive Care, the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina, Credit Union Executives Society Carolinas Council, Advisors Plus Steering Council, along with being Co-Chair for the 2021 and 2022 Winterlark fundraiser benefiting the Cancer Patient Support Program at Wake Forest Baptist Health’s Comprehensive Cancer Center. She also completed Leadership Winston-Salem’s INSIGHT program and previously served on the boards for Allegacy Benefit Solutions, Komen Northwest North Carolina Triad Affiliate, Center for Smart Financial Choices, Winston-Salem Society of Human Resource Management, and the Maya Angelou Center for Women’s Advisory Board.
Ashley has received awards with the YWCA “Women of Vision”, Winston<40 Leadership, Triad Business Journal Outstanding Women in Business and was selected as the Credit Union Executive Society (CUES) Next Top Credit Union Executive in 2012.
Ashley graduated Summa Cum Laude from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications and her master’s degree in Leadership and Organizational Change from Pfeiffer University. Ashley holds designations and certifications with the Credit Union Executive Society Certified Chief Executive (CCE) and Certified Innovation Executive (CIE), the Society of Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), and Global Customer Experience Management.
