Here for Good

Picture collage of business and family

The credit union philosophy has always been ‘people helping people’ and at Allegacy Federal Credit Union, we were built on that belief. Putting members and community first is the only way we know. That’s why we partner with many local organizations to support arts, education and wellbeing right here in the Triad.

In addition to our many sponsorships and donations, our employees give of their time to help the many initiatives Allegacy supports. Two of our employees, Kevin Pichardo, Program Manager at WellQ, and Paul Phillips, Lending Development Officer, placed 4th out of 24 at the Men Who Cook event to benefit the Family House. Several of our employees volunteer every two months to make sure Westbrook Plaza Dr. is trash-free – at least for a little while.

In April, the Allegacy team came out in force to support the New Hope Run for Hospice and Palliative Care. Not only were we a presenting sponsor for this event, several of our employees volunteered, along with the  Hospice team, to make sure the event ran smoothly at Bailey Park. Families enjoyed the post run picnic in the park with custom Allegacy blankets created especially for the race. On the same day, our Greensboro team helped younger neighbors become even bigger super heroes by volunteering at the Human Race Kids’ Tent.

We also helped sponsor the Hammerbird 5K for the Habitat for Humanity and the March of Dimes Walk for Babies.

Our calendar is also full in May! Be sure to stop by and say, ‘Hello!’ at the Komen Race for the Cure, Clemmons Community Day and Bud Break on May 5! You’ll also find us at the UNCG Heart Association Heart and Stroke Walk on May 19 and the Founder’s Day Parade in Summerfield on the same day. We look forward to spending time with our Guilford County friends! We are also hosting the Empty Bowls 5k on May 26!

These are just a few of the places you might find our Allegacy team this spring. Doing right is our commitment to the communities we serve. And, doing the right thing is the right way to do business. We’ve been navigating change for 50 years, all while holding true to who we are and helping our members stay on course. We’re here for you and we’re here to stay.
