Here for Good: A New Year’s Letter from your CEO

Allegacy President and CEO, Cathy Pace

Happy New Year and thank you for an amazing year. 2017 was a year of celebrations and community and what better way to begin 2018 than with the same positivity! (Click here to view a video of 2017 highlights.)

Reflecting upon our 50th anniversary this year reinforced that what hasn’t changed about Allegacy is just as important as the changes we have experienced as the credit union grows. Our commitment to doing the right thing for your wellbeing isn’t something we simply promise. I’m pleased and proud to see it come to life before my eyes every day.

For example, following on the heels of our successful ribbon cutting at the newest Greensboro location, Spartan Village, we will open two more Financial Centers this year.

The first, almost at the very moment you read this! Our members in Mt. Airy have been with us from the beginning and we are so looking forward to serving them closer to their home on Rockford Street starting January 16th.

Later in the year, we will build a location in Advance, NC. This location will be structured to deliver a unique and exciting member experience with services delivered both in-person and digitally. We will create an environment where you feel supported in your goals at every stage.

We will culminate our 50th anniversary celebrations at our Annual Meeting on April 19, 2018. Save the date! And don’t miss out on the last leg of the 50 Years $50,000 Giveaway. Be sure to take advantage of this new entry method — Schedule an appointment to complete a financial profile with a Financial Advisor, available through CUSO Financial Services, L.P. (CFS*).

I want to highlight some other product promotions that are happening right now as they might help you towards your 2018 goals. The 7-Month Certificate promotion could help give an expected tax return or bonus a boost in 2018. And the introductory specials for the Allegacy Visa Signature Rewards Credit Card could help you consolidate high-interest debt if you feel like you may have overspent during the holiday season.

Working together with Allegacy’s employees and members is one of the things I love most about being your President and CEO. And for Allegacy, people have always come before profit. Putting members and community first is the only way we know and doing the right thing is the way we will continue to do business in 2018. We’ve been navigating change for 50 years, all the while holding true to who we are and helping our members stay on course. We’re here for you and we’re here to stay.
